Tim Wood Limited is based in Wiltshire and in London regularly, the company works on both large and small projects, in the UK and Worldwide.
After graduating from the renowned furniture designer John Makepeace OBE at Parnham College for Furniture Makers in 1983, Tim Wood has worked on commissions for a wide variety of clients and Tim Wood’s portfolio covers both private and commercial projects.
Tim Wood’s extensive range of work extends from individual pieces such as a jewellery box or boardroom table to kitchens, libraries and bathrooms and to the interior design and fitting out of entire houses and commercial projects. Each project is uniquely designed and crafted from the very drawing to the final fitting.
The emphasis is very much on achieving a close collaboration with the client, advising on appropriate materials, a careful choice of timbers and finishes, and an attention to fine detail which goes beyond the merely aesthetic.

HISTORY
Tim Wood started making objects in wood as a child and was very fortunate in 1981 at the age of 18 to go to the exclusive "John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood" later called Parnham College, Parnham House, Beaminster, Dorset. It was an intensive two-year residential course, in a 37,000 square foot Tudor Mansion built in 1552 and remodelled in 1810 by John Nash. It was a fantastic creative environment in which to learn the art of designing and making extremely fine furniture and also learn all the basic requirements of running your own business.
Each project is run and overseen by Tim Wood who will go into fine detail to make your project totally individual to you.
Over the years I have designed a handbag closet that had each shaped hook made to the same size as the client's shoulder as the client was concerned the bag strapes would mis-shape.

Tim Wood won the Master's Award for Young Enterprise from The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers in 1993
Given the prestigious invitation to design the show house kitchen at the Daily Telegraph/House and Garden Show, which Tim Wood designed and made in 2000 and the following year 2001.
Have worked extensively on may prestigious houses, including Dodington House, Dodington Park Estate designed by James Wyatt between 1798 and 1816 where we worked for almost 4 years restoring the interior back to how it was originally having done extensive research and found James Wyatt's original drawings, sketches and other historical material to work from and later images as proof of the work. We designed and hand built the new billiard, room in the basement, brought back the main state room and replaced the huge figured oak flooring and temporarily installed a large specially designed hand built free standing kitchen, that later went to The North Canonry the first house built in The Close, Salisbury.
Barton Manor was brought by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as Barton Manor Farmhouse to Osborne House, with Barton Manor used for to house guests. Later King Edward V11 in 1909 entertained Tsar Nicholas and family here. We designed and made the kitchen and pantry and supplied fittings for 5 bathrooms.
